Our Program
Our
mission: to equip children academically, spiritually, and socially
to serve and worship God with excellence.
Our program exists to share the love of God with children and to prepare young ones to pursue excellence in academics, character, and service to others.
Our program: We use an integral approach that simultaneously lays a firm foundation in literacy, math concepts, and Biblical principles. Using the highly regarded Abeka curriculum, we equip students with phonemic awareness and basic reading comprehension skills. We are not tied to any one educational theory, but instead open to innovations, always ready to do what works. Our instructional program integrates these four focus areas:
Biblical Principles
|
Innovative Practices
|
Character Development
|
Arts & Enrichment
|
Instructional practices include:
- Presenting authentic learning tasks (based in real life)
- Proceding from concrete to abstract understanding
- Use of math manipulatives
- Hands-on learning
How will your child benefit from our integrative, faith-based approach? Your child will:
- Grasp the concepts and master the skills needed for a lifetime of learning
- Be immunized against peer pressure by the secure understanding that,
God loves me and God made me for a purpose. - Have the confidence to say:
I make good choices because I know who I belong to. - Learn the joy of service. Even at two or three a child can know his or
her value in the family
through simple acts like cheering an ill family member with a flower or a smile. - Be acquainted with the quiet peace inside
that can see them through any stress. - And have the self esteem to say:
In
Christ, I can do all things.
